Double Neck Stratocaster
Just when you thought it was safe to hit our rareelectricguitar, this beast appears. Like the line from Godzilla - "What have we done to deserve such devastation?" - this guitar appears out of the depths to confuse/confound even the most rabid StratMaster. What you have here is, of course, a double neck stratocaster. What makes this one wild is that his unique body shape with his tele & strat headstock. Another hand, the scalloped fretboard, absolutely amazing. Never see before!!!It should be standard issue for Metal Gods! It would be cool to play while standing in a blanket of dry ice fog and the blue lights are shining down from behind. Built in 1990, this guitar is yet another ultimate shred machine. That's fine...we still think it is killer. This would be a great project for a couple of Saga kits!
Yngwie is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and bandleader. He became known for his neo-classical playing style in heavy metal. Steve Huey of Allmusic stated that, "Yngwie Malmsteen is arguably the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarist to emerge during the '80s."
Yngwie has been a longtime user of stratocasters. In addition to his most famous "The Duck" strat, he also has a signature doubleneck stratocaster. It comes in a Vintage White finish with a maple neck, either a maple or rosewood fretboard with scalloped frets .
Yngwie has stated that he prefers the stratocaster (from the period of 1968-1972); he claims that the bigger headstock on these generates more sustain. Yngwie customizes his guitars by fitting a brass nut, removing the middle string tree and scalloping the fretboard. He previously disconnected the tone controls on his guitars but has said that he no longer does this.
All our guitars are produced by hand. This includes cutting the body, performing six sand-and-finish operations, buffing to a radiant luster, and assembling the electronic circuitry. All components such as playing action, bridge height, and intonation are set to much finer tolerances than assembly line instruments. That's why our guitars have high playability.
Genuine Yngwie double neck stratocasters are rare, since they've been only issued by Fender Custom Shop in very limited quantities - and thisYngwie Malmsteen model is probably the most common double neck strat since almost 200 were released in 1993/94 by Fender Japan Custom Shop. So it’s hard to find in current market. Moreover it’s also very expensive. The original guitar for sale at Ed Roman Guitars in Las Vegas is for $13,500.00. The sky-high price makes many fans of Yngwie so down, but now this guitar can be custom made in our workshop at very reasonable price. In addition, you can design it yourself if you like, such as attach your own name on the headstock, change the finish and so on. Completely free!
