Description

Custom Made Larry Graham Bass

Larry Graham, Jr. (born August 14, 1946) is an American bass guitar player, both with the popular and influential psychedelic soul/funk band Sly and the Family Stone, and as the founder and frontman of Graham Central Station. He is credited with the invention of the slapping technique, which radically expanded the tonal palette of the bass, although he himself refers to the technique as "Thumpin' and Pluckin'." There is really no other way to explain Larry Graham’s place in the evolution of bass guitar. Simply put, there’s bass before Larry Graham, and there’s bass after Larry Graham.

Today Larry Graham is not only a living legend of bass and responsible for generations of slappers who have utilized his invention, but is seemingly as busy as ever.Till now Larry Graham remains a remarkably supple, handsome man. The huge afro that once towered over him is long gone but the ability to pluck and thump the funkiest rhythms on earth from his white bass remains unmatched.

Graham made his name as original bassist/bass vocalist in Sly & The Family Stone, the Bay Area band that proved such a potent force in popular music 1968-1973.
This unique bass style became hugely influential – essentially, Graham did for bass what Hendrix did for guitar, giving it a fuller, louder, more vocal (and percussive) role.

This is a great Moon bass from Japan, and has some of the features that so many players like on a fretless: growl, wham, you name it.Moon are a small factory that make very special basses, with slap pioneer Larry Graham as the most famous users.
The bass we have here has a particular body shape that is attractive and ergonomic.

There is good news that we can custom made this moon bass. We will create an instrument that will delight you with exceptional tone and great playability, optimized to your personal preferences and all with the utmost quality, beauty, and rigorous attention to detail.
