About Carl Wilson

 

Carl Dean Wilson (December 21, 1946 – February 6, 1998) was an American rock and roll singer, guitarist and composer, born in Hawthorne, Californiarn. Best known as a founding member, lead guitarist as well as occasional lead vocalist of The Beach Boys, Wilson performed lead vocals on lots of notable songs by the Beach Boys, "Good Vibrations" and "God Only Knows" included.

 

 

As the youngest brother of fellow Beach Boys Dennis and Brian Wilson and cousin of Beach Boy Mike Love, Carl Wilson was credited for keeping the Beach boys together through all their Trials & Tribulations. This Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string is one of Wilson’s most beautiful guitar, with only 500 made and only 250 were six string.

  

 

About our custom made Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string

 

Our Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar has been made perfectly, fully in accordance with the original guitar. With plenty of time researching and comparing, we choose the select woods and replicate the Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar, built totally as the original size and felt comfortable. It is a worth having guitar to you.  

 

Unlike most guitars with 22 frets, the Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar has 21 frets with a shorter rosewood neck and scale length 24 3/4" . We did a good job on this point. The neck and fretboard was exact copy for the original Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar,  with Pearloid Triangle fretboard inlay just like the original.  

 

But if you want to have a full scale length version like 24.75" , 25.5" or even longer, we are able to customize it for you. Please tell us the scale length when you place the order. (Rickenbacker 325 is the very similar model but in scale length at 20.75" , which is available in our shop.)

 

 

The Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar is set-in neck guitar, and the neck set in to the body very short, so that the neck has thicker heel and the neck pickup has placed in a very top position. As a seim-hollow body guitar, Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar’s sound deeply affected by the position of the pickups. We have made this part just like the original to increase acoustic resonance.

 

 

 

The original guitar has small and smooth chrome turners. Our custom made Rickenbacker 360 Carl Wilson 6 string guitar uses exactly same turners.
