Birth of the Telecaster Page

There's a wonderful story on the Dragon Tele. In 1961, Owen purchased a 59' Tele with $107 and soon gave it to Jeff, who was John's band mate in Deltones. In 1965, Jeff brought this particular Telecaster Page guitar to Yardbirds just as his backup alternative for a Gibson Les Paul. Jeff changed the first white Bakelite pickguard of the 59' Tele into a handmade black colored pickguard. In Aug 1966 when Jeff quit Yardbirds, he gave this particular instrument, a reasonably valuable guitar in those days, to Jimmy. Jimmy Page had taken the Dragon tele from Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin as his primary guitar. The Dragon Telecaster did not diminish from vision until in April 1969 he acquired the "number one" Gibson Les Paul from Joe. In 1967, Page done a terrific alteration to this instrument, painting a green, orange and red dragon on the ash body and substituting the black pickguard into a clear acrylic pickguard with a piece of diffraction grating material underneath. Thereafter, the popular Dragon Telecaster appeared in electric guitar history.

Telecaster Page Woods

The body is created of ash wood, just the same as the genuine Dragon Tele, together with rosewood fretboard and maple neck. Our electric guitars were produced purely according to the actual sketch and data, the contour and measurements and all other factors are just exactly the same as the initial guitar.

Telecaster Page Finish

As to the finish, the initial dragon pattern was drawn by Jimmy Page himself, and ours were hand painted by our expert luthiers. When compared with Jimmy, we would not be far better than Master Jimmy, however, we're sure the painting is a minimum of as the same, if not greater than, the initial electric guitar. Additionally, we are able to modify the finish in accordance with your personal desire.

Telecaster Page Headstock

The headstock of the original instrument is a Fender 59 telecaster headstock, however for unknown cause, Page cleaned the original logo off, and therefore we've no logo on the headstock of our customized instrument.

Telecaster Page Pickguard

The authentic pickguard was mentioned to be a see-through pickguard using a aluminum foil beneath it to create a reflection effect. But the foil has a tendency to darken as time goes by, therefore we offer you a mirror pickguard to attain a perfect effect, and it appears considerably nearer to the genuine guitar.

Telecaster Page Pickups

The pick-ups of the authentic 59' tele are Fender single-coil pick-ups, and we are able to provide other various brands for example Wilkinson and Fender as well as other single-coil pickups from low end to high-end products.

Songs ever performed with the Telecaster Page by Jimmy Page

Page used the Dragon Telecaster to capture the initial album of Led Zeppelin, and also used it in his early on 1968-1969 tour. In 1971, Page utilized it in recording the excellent solo Stairway to Heaven in studio.

If you're 1 of Jimmy's followers and interested to the electric guitar, our Dragon telecaster could be your greatest option, due to the fact our guitar is the most similar custom made electric guitar totally following the original details and the genuine design drawing.
