There's a double singlecoil, Bigsby vibrato bringing option of the Customized Store J5 available too, but Fender has played it safe by sticking with the rocker-friendly humbucker version for their Spanish axe.

John 5 is a self-described "Fender fanatic" with a jaw-dropping collection of his favorite device, the Telecaster ("the greatest instruments ever built, by far," in his words). His Squier trademark design, the J5 Telecaster, is a double-bound beauty based on his oft-modded utility vehicle Telecaster, which was pieced together at the Fender Customized Store. Features consist of David 5's unique black-and-chrome look, a double-bound alder system with a shine dark cotton finish, a refined stainless-steel pickguard and firefox hardware. The custom-designed humbucking trucks use a special dual-volume installation with the link collection management in the front place and the throat collection management in the returning place (5 wants this installation because he usually spends much time giving the link collection a workout). Rapid toggling the upper-bout three-way collection switch gives you 5's trademark "kill" effect by turning off the throat collection amount and leaving the link management full up.
The throat is traditional Fender. Fashioned from long lasting walnut and lead with a good-looking rosewood fingerboard it has a traditional feel thanks to its '60s-style 'C' user profile.
String flexing is assisted by some well-finished method huge frets – 22 of the blighters. And just so you know where you are on the fingerboard, Fender has fitted huge cream-coloured plastic place indicators developed to imitate traditional clay-based facts.
