Rare Electric GuitarJohn Alec Entwistle was an English bass guitarist, songwriter, singer, and horn player, who was best known as the bass guitarist for the rock band The Who. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential rock bassists of all time. Entwistle helped uncover the potential of the bass guitar as a lead instrument, using aggressive pentatonic lead lines, and a trebly sound virtually unheard of in the early 1960s. The John Entwistle Signature Spider is a fitting tribute to the late Who bassist, complete with spider-web inlays and a strikingly unique angular design. This Apex-enhanced bass guitar features EMG Lo Z pickups, and active 3-band EQ, and integrated Aphex Exciter/Compressor/Optical Big Bottom circuitry for the ultimate in tonal expression.
