Rare Electric Guitar
Based on Carl's 1965 Rickenbacker Model 360, the Carl Wilson Signature model is not a true '65 reissue but a composite of vintage and modern Ric features. The rounded body style was introduced on the Model 360 in mid-1964. It differed not only cosmetically from its double bound predecesor, but structurally as well. The rounded body style has thicker sides and the greater wood mass alters the tone slightly. The Carl Wilson Signature Model has a thinner top than modern production Model 360's making for a lively, resonant guitar with a loud acoustic voice.
The Carl Wilson Signature Model offered both in six and twelve string versions, as Model 360CW and 360/12CW. Carl Wilson's signature reproduced on the upper pickguard.Checked body binding. Offered in Fireglo and Jetglo colors. Wood is specially charactered maple body with Rosewood fret board. Special thin top for increased acoustic performance Twenty-one fret neck with vintage inlays. Vintage style square heel. Two scatter wound vintage-style pickups with 7.4K ohm coils. Vintage reissue silver Tolex guitar case. Rickenbacker produced the 360CW in 6-string and 12-string versions.
